Grandson loves it. by Mona Lisa
I bought 2 of these for my 10 yr. old grandson and a friend so they would each have one to shoot across the pool to each other. So far, only he and I have used them together. They work well, but not as fast as I expected. You hold it under water with the yellow knob/spiget turned counter-clockwise and pull out and in on the head which fills the barracuda with very high pressure water. Don’t pump more than 8 times or you will have to release some of the pressure to get the head back in before launching. As soon as you can no longer pump water into it, turn the yellow knob and water will come out in a very fast stream. You need to immediately let go to get the maximum distance. They will usually go at least 30 feet (the length of our pool), if all instructions are followed perfectly.

I gave this 4 stars for fun. My grandson really likes it. He doesn’t seem at all disappointed about the lack of speed. That’s just my opinion.

3 Stars for educational value. It does show how water pressure and propulsion work together. My grandson seemed pretty impressed with that concept.

3 for durability: Only had them for a few weeks.

Overall, it’s a novel idea with a pretty entertaining result. And they look pretty cool, too. We received the blue ones.
