FINALLY - clear, clean pool water by T. Gallagher
I bought an above ground Intex pool last summer and spent half the summer trying to keep the pool clear and swimmable - the pool stayed the remainder of last summer in a box in the shed. I could never get the chemistry right no matter how many trips to the pool store.
This year, with my “economic stimulas” check, I purchased a larger Intex pump and this chlorinator. Finally, the pool is clean and clear - sparkling clear in fact. Swimming in it is a joy!!! Had my nephew and neice visit me for a week and we swam in it everyday - all day - no problems!!! I can even (gasp) go away for a few days and the pool is fine when I return. I HIGHLY recommend this self chlorinator for your pool.

Confusing at first by T. Smallwood
The chlorinator works Great! I did have a problem with the initial programming. The directions were misleading as the button combinations that finally worked were not what the directions stated. Once past that hurdle the system has produced crystal clear water and has actually increased the filter element life cycle. Note: After you get programmed it takes about 4 minutes before the green light illuminates.

We bought this for our 24′x52″ above ground intex pool and it works great, we also purchased a larger pump. We went out of town and didn’t run the filer or pump so the water turned green. The local pool store suggested we purchase $140 worth of chemicals to clear it up. Instead of puchasing the chemicals, we ran the filter and pump for a few days, vacuumed the pool bottom and within 4 days the pool was swimmable and getting better everyday. This saltwater system is so much easier than using chlorine, and it feels much better on your skin.

Unit did not work on arrival. Unfortunately, I didn’t test it prior to filling and adding salt to pool. I plugged it in and nothing! Crosslake Sales (where purchased online through amazon) did not offer to take care of the exchange, I had to call Intex myself…not the kind of customer service I like 
I waited FOREVER to get through. Thankfully, they sent a replacement…however it was toooooooooooooooooooo late for my green, mucky pool! I had to drain, scrub and refill.
